As a coach and a swimmer, I have tried everything to improve my swimming. Gadgets like tempo trainers, fancy goggles, and "nerdy" techniques like swimming 1 paddle on my left hand and 1 fin on my right foot.
I used drills from Swim Smooth and Total Immersion, swam in programmes with several different coaches (each with their own spin on how to get faster), and spoken to numerous experts.
