Be Battle Ready - Are you actually on track?

Hi Reader

At this point in the season, most athletes are deep into their build.

The volume or intensity is increasing, key sessions are starting to matter more, and race day is beginning to feel closer.

On the surface, everything looks like progress.

But there’s a question most athletes don’t really ask themselves.

Are you actually on track?

Not “am I training consistently?”
Not “did I have a good session this week?”

But whether the training you’re doing is genuinely moving you towards the performance you want on race day.

Most athletes don’t have a clear answer to that.

They rely on fragments.

A strong session here. A good long ride there. Maybe a race result from earlier in the season.

It feels like progress.

But it doesn’t always add up to certainty.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to break this down properly.

What to look for, what tends to go wrong, and how to assess whether your training is actually putting you where you need to be.

Because most athletes don’t lack effort.

They lack clarity.
